this last week i recieved the wezo 45 2010

looks great and sounds good

i was dissapointed at first because i couldnt get the the volume past three

i called dale and he told me the pad works for feedback when closer to zero instead of 10

now the volume can get to 5 in my small apartment

i hope to turn the volume higher in a larger place

before i learned about the pad, i tried the lone wolf blues harp shield and voodoo lab feedback killer continue reading...

Ultimitized!

This is an unsolicited shout-out to Greg Heumann (our mic expert here on the Forum) and his BlowsMeAway Productions. Getting into amplified playing, I started using a low-Z Shure SM-57 that I own. I later added an in-line volume control and a Bullitizer from Greg. But with the weight and length of the volume control and XLR connection added to the Shure body, the feel of the mic when playing was akin to trying to take a rescued squirrel to the vet for a check-up. continue reading...

There's probably a thread about this already, but: Does anyone have a recomendation for software for converting YouTube audios to MP3 format? I've seen some info on the web that some software is buggy or may even have malware in it, so out of caution I'd like hear what folks have had good experiences with. Thanks!

i got a harp train 10 at a great price from randy

when i got it, i wanted to like it more and didnt

i wanted an amp i can take some place and not worry about a vintage amp that cant be replaced, with somebody stealing the tubes, or the amp

i spoke to dale laslie about it and he sent me a celestion red fang RF ceramic 10" speaker

when i took out the original speaker, the celestion was twice as heavy

i took out the pre amp and power tubes from JJ, which are good tubes

i put in a NOS GE 6L6 AND NOS GE 6072 (12AY7) continue reading...

Hi,

Just thought I'd mention that I've just bought a used fender '59 bassman reissue.  Made in '95 and has the blue frame  eminence speakers.  I pick it up tomorrow.  I am very excited.

Hello,

I have only G harmonica, can I still effectively go through all the lessons on Level 1? Or which key would you recommend to get to take most out of this course?

Thanks,

Seemingly in-Heumann custom wood mic

Just got my custom wood mic from Greg Heumann (BlowsMeAway).  Just tremendous to have something this beautiful that is also so functional.  Stunning.  I can't think of anything I've ever owned that matches the craftsmanship.  The tone is fantastic -- first word that comes to mind is SMOOTH.

My wife won't let me replace the Japanese vase in the front window with it, so will just keep it plugged into the amp at all times.

Check it out!! continue reading...

Tube change on Fender "Evil" Twin

Hi,

Before I sell it and buy a Bassman or something, I want to see if I can make my fender '94 (evil) twin amp harmonica friendly(ish).

I read that Charlie Musselwhite played a red knob twin with no tube changes so this gives me hope that I can play with my twin till I decide on which to change to in the future, skills and experience quite obviously make a massive difference. continue reading...
