I was all set to buy a Laney Cub 10 having looked at David's reviews only to then discover that they don't make them anymore. I then had a look at the VHT Special 6 but these are not widely available in the UK. Moving away from genuine tube amps I was wondering if anyone has used a Roland Blues Cube? They seem to be well reviewed by guitarists.
I have a Hohner Special 20 and Crossover in A, Lee Oskers in C & G, a Hohner Crossover in C and a Hohner Golden Melody in B flat. My choices were not made scientifically and I had very little experience with harmonicas when I purchased them. Today my old harp finally kicked the can (1 draw, 5 blow, and 7 draw sound more flat every day that goes by). It was one of a Piedmont Blues set my mom gifted me years ago. Not one to be slowed down, I biked to my local music store and picked up a Special 20 - a huge upgrade from the much cheaper stocking stuffer set I'm used to. continue reading...
