Beginner course with G harmonica
Hello,
I have only G harmonica, can I still effectively go through all the lessons on Level 1? Or which key would you recommend to get to take most out of this course?

While there are lessons in the Key of C, if you are planning on doing the Levels of Achievement program then you will need a key of A to proceed. The good news is that if you are going to just go through the courses on your own without submitting lessons to David, you can use any key you want or have, but remember your pitch will not match what David uses in the videos and audio files.
In my opinion it is best to do the Levels of Achievement so you can get feedback from David on your playing. Starting in Level 4 other keys begin to get introduced. Eventually you will need a G harmonica, so keep the one you have.

Hello Azazello - you probably should ask the instructor, David Barrett and pose you question under "Ask Instructor David Barrett" forum. My short answer is you will most likely need a key of C harmonica to begin and then later a key of A. Maybe David will see your question here, but you may want to resubmit it under the Ask David area of the forum. Good luck with your studies!
