Hello Greg I have a old Shure Commando 430 mic.I really love these mic and I hope you can help me. It works but someone of my friends who plays on stage says it works not great. He says when I giving pressure on thes mic that might be interrupting. I don't realise that but it's not excluded that that is true.Is there a proper (easy with no pecial tools) way to tes continue reading...
My new wood mic arrived today and it is stunning. It looks great, it sounds great and it feels great. I have smaller hands and the green bullet always felt a tad too big and bulky. Your mic is awesome, thank you so much
I'm wondering if you have ever come across an Astatic JT-30 which has the label placed on the side rather than the front. I recently came across one on eBay with it's label on the side and I'm curious what this might tell us about the mic.
Hi Greg, I've got question on grit, I've just started to get a decent/ok cup going still not good enough TB skill to use when playing with the band but my pucker tone isn't that far off from my TB tone acoustly. I'm using a Bulletini and a JT 30 Roadhouse with an old ceramic element in it the stock JT 30 was pretty thin sounding. Break up wise the Bulletini and ceramic are about the same but the Bulletini has much more bootom end I really like the Bulletini. continue reading...
Greg, what a GREAT freakin' mic! I'm having tons of fun with it. Lots of depth. Gain brings out super-complex overtones -- almost melodious. Still getting used to the new cup after so many years with the JT-30 housing.
Hi Greg, while installing an element in a t3, I decided to test a few I had lying around . One shure crystal that became weak after playing tested surprisingly strong, after sitting in a drawer for many years. Would a Mic silk of gortex or similar help stop the moisure?
I have a bulletini and a laney cub (as recommended by Dave B), and love the sound.
I'm wondering if you can advise me on what kind of sound system would be best to support me playing over jam tracks.
Should I consider investing in a sound system like JBL/Sonos or buy a PA? I'm an amature player who likes to play for freinds and family and occassionally at open mic sessions.
I am looking for some kind of a mini mic (with a size comparable to the ones you fix on a shirt) which I could fully 'envelop' together with my harmonica in my hands. My intend with such mic is to better capture the full sound of the harp es well as the results of handtechniques such as Wah-wah.
Would you be able to advise me such type of a good-quality mic, which ideally is connectable to an amp with a (mini-)jacket
