Good afternoon,

I have a bulletini and a laney cub (as recommended by Dave B), and love the sound.

I'm wondering if you can advise me on what kind of sound system would be best to support me playing over jam tracks.

Should I consider investing in a sound system like JBL/Sonos or buy a PA?  I'm an amature player who likes to play for freinds and family and occassionally at open mic sessions.

Thank you,

Anthony Vaccaro

Hi! I apologize for the late

Hi! I apologize for the late reply. I missed this when you posted it. I hope you got an answer to your question but I'll answer it here for the benefit of others anyway.

I am not sure if you're asking about the sound system for your harp rig, or to play the backing track but I think you mean the latter. You don't need anything special to play at home - just your home entertainment system. We used to call it "the stereo."

You CAN use any sort of PA as well - all PA's have a way to connect an audio source like an MP3 player or CD player. A powered Bluetooth speaker like the JBL Sonos should also work fine but won't let you get as loud. That would be fine for home entertainment but might not be enough if you take your solo act on the road. A PA type system would probably be better for that - though there are some nice, reasonably compact ones like the Fender Passport systems.
