Hello all,I've come across someone with multiple mics available ("junk dealer"). From what era are the JT 30's with the screen printed tag? The internets are telling me from the 80's. If so, what would you pay? Assuming it was in good original working and cosmetic condition?
Hi GregI have a rather beat-up Shure 440 on it's way to Denmark, and would like to know whether it is possible to restore the brushed satin grille somehow. Also I am hoping to install a switchcraft connector in the mic, when it arrives, but I am having some trouble finding the correct sizes for the drill/tap. Would it be the same I need to use to outfit a 520DX shell with a similar connector? And what would those be?Thank you for any reply.
Hi Greg, I am looking at dipping a toe into the world of amplified harp and after looking at David's Mic Reviews I am thinking of starting with a Superlux D112-C. Obviously not a professional mic, but does get a reasonable review for beginner mic. And a great price.
When looking online, most adds I see are for a D112, occasionally seeing them labelled D112-C. I cannot find any information to differentiate between the two.
Are these in fact the same microphone or are they two different models?
Hey Greg, hope all is well. Looks like I'll be ordering a Bulletini this week but I need an amp to go along with it. I understand you recommend the Laney Cub but that's north of $350, more than I want to spend on my first amp. I was thinking of the Fender Champion 20 1x8" 20-watt Combo Amp, which Sweetwater sells for about $130. Any thoughts on this?
Hello, Greg. Am thinking of a Bulletini as I have smallish hands for a man. This would be my first mic. So, With or without? Is it possible to inadvertently change the volume while playing? Why would you use this control instead of the volume on the amp?
I have no experience with amps or mics so any help is welcomed.
I'm sure it's already in the "equipment review" forum, but I can't find it. It would help if the forum had a key-word search capability. Question is: What do you think of the Audix Fireball mic? It's what I have. Seems to work well, but I have nothing to compare it to. I've never used or even touched a "real" bullet mic. Thoughts?

Just found a Ruskin mic I picked up in 1999 - it's dead and I have no idea how to open it up to fix. Any ideas? I believe it's a bicyclle light housing - can't tell if it pressure-fit or not and don't want to break it.
