Gear

Harps, amps, mics, effects and anything else relating to the playing of the harmonica

going through a lot of harps.

Greetings.

I have been taking the LOA excersices for about a year now.  I have been going through quite a few harmonicas.  Already I had to repurchase several in the key of A and D.  I am going with the recommended marine band Hohners.

I am thinking I should invest in an instrument that might hold up to my endless practicing.  Its frustrating to get into a practice session ony to be held up because a note here or there is no longer accessible.   I appreciate any advise from the experts.

Custom grill silk and mesh for bullet mics?

Hi there, I’ve noticed, (over the years), the custom bullet mics with Grill cloth/mesh in a variety of colors; does anyone know where to obtain this? A google search reveals cool blue, red  mics,(etc.), with cloth colors matching the mic,  but no info, thanks!

Hello, Can anyone give me some advice as a starting point for the order of my effects? I mainly just go with my LW octave and my LW v2 delay but I have accumulated a few more and am plying out with friends more so I was trying to get a more versatile rig. Currently I have it in this order: Shield, LW Break, LW Octave, MXR Boost, V2 Delay and Sonic Stomp. I run them through my HG2 or my Kalamazoo 2. Its ok I think but and change suggestions would be much appreciate.  continue reading...

Hi friends! Im new on BluesHarmonica.com, im from Argentina, love the site

I have a question about what amplifier suits me for small gigs. I have the money for a Pro Junior (USA) but I also saw a Windy City at a good price and I do not know what would be better for me ... any suggestions? I play the harmonica for more than 12 years and I like a good warm sound and no too much drive..

I have too much gear so I’m letting some stuff go, starting with a couple of Lone Wolf pedals:

1. Lone Wolf Harp Delay, the standard green version. Like new condition, never left the house.

New these are $162. Plus $12.95 shipping = 174.95.

Selling mine for $135 Shipped CONUS.

2. Lone Wolf Harp Attack, also like new. Thought I’d have a need for this pedal, but I was wrong. used for less than 15 minutes total at home.

New these are $183 Plus $12.95 shipping = $195.95

Selling mine for $155 Shipped CONUS.

Is this what a tube looks like when it's failing?

Is this what a tube looks like when it's failing, or does this amp have a different issue? Notice at the end of the video, the smoke coming out of the top of the amp: https://youtu.be/6iiM3fheGRE

It's a Hohner Hoodoo (5w), only about 3 years old with very little use.

Thanks,

Sean
