Mic Shell Observation

For years i have been using the same EV605 shell, fitted with a 99B86 CM. I just obtained a JT30 with a 99H86 CM, and have been comparing the 2.
the element in the EV is definitely 'hotter'; by which i mean louder, more prone to feedback, bigger bottom, which tends to overwhelm the mids, distorts more readily. the JT30 is much sweeter, more musical.

Elements vary. I've heard it said often, so there is no surprise there. continue reading...

Has anyone tried a harp with black corian comb? It's synthetic, by dupont. I have one on order to try it. Wondering if anyone's experienced it yet?

Forgetting ease of customization and price, can I get some opinions on these three instruments from anybody? I would appreciate it.

Slow Down Music Trainer

New app for iPad, iPhone and iPod. It does everything that Sow Downer does at a third of the price. Adjust tempo, key, import from your playlists, choose phrases to learn licks, loop, make notes that you can attach to the piece. All in a very intuitive way on pages that are focussed.

I'm using it now in place of slow downer because of the configuration of the page on my iPhone. I like it and highly recommend it. Definitely worth checking out.

No connection other than being just one happy user of a solid app.

Hello,

I got my new Megatone ME-18 in Belgium last week.
It was very well packaged and it sounds very nice.
So, if you live in Europe, don't worry about ordering an amp from DJL Vintage Audio.
Thanks David for the advice. Thanks Dale for the good job.

Happy holidays!

Rounded coverplates

Anybody know a good place that I can find decent rounded coverplates for a MB Deluxe/Crossover? Similar to the Seydel 1847 coverplates. Either open or closed side vents. Can't stand the sharp corners on MB even when I file them down myself.
