Lunchbox Amps by Zt?

Anyone have experience with the Zt lunchbox amp. It's only $299, but it's the size of....a lunchbox, and I hear the one made for vocals has a headphone hookup! Nice for apartment dwellers like myself.

I've heard through the grapevine, that for the cost and the convenience, they're a nice deal.

I'm thinking of getting one. But not sure if I want to get the Reglar or the vocals one.

Thoughts or Experiences With Fishman Loudbox Artist?

Posted Tue, 05/29/2012 - 04:00 by TheKrowe

I'm thinking of buying a Fishman Loudbox Artist, 120W, bi-amped solid state amp built specifically for acoustic guitar. I would most likely front it with a Harp Commander IV, Harp Attack, LW Delay or Carl Martin Delayla xII, and a Martin Compressor. Being bi-amped, it has two completely independent sets of EQ and effects controls; one for each XLR/1/4" input. I'm thinking I could run my harp mic into one side and run my Tricone mic into to the other, and have just one fairly lightweight amp to deal with. continue reading...

In praise of the Nifty-Fifty

I have always liked the Nifty-Fifty, when they first came out in the mid 90's, I bought my first one. I was working at the Music Tree in Morgan Hill CA. as a harmonica teacher, and started reccomending them to my students as a great sounding amp. I haven't tried out one recently until Ross Garren brought one over to the house to try out. I jumped on E-bay and bought one for $70.00. I just got it and was not dissapointed. This is a solid-state 15w amp that has just killer tone. It gets a huge sound at a very decent sound level. continue reading...

Deville amp

I just unpacked my Hot rod deville. It's pretty old , from July 97 ACcording to the sticker, but seems to be in mint condition. All original. I haven't plugged a mic into it yet, but I powered it up and while it is generally very quiet I did notice a strange crackle come in for a while, which disappeared after a couple of minutes. I'm speculating that the amp is probably due for some attention to capacitors, as it is 15 years old and reportedly done very little work the last 10 years. Anyway, it is heading to the workshop this week for some mods as per Aki's recent submission. continue reading...

Connecting Amp out to computer

Posted Sun, 04/15/2012 - 12:08 by mikolune

Hi all,

I've just received a Honeytone mini amp and I am having a great time with it. Now, I would like to record it's output on my computer.

The only inputs my desktop has is a headset mic input, and USB inputs. I have no Line-In input.

I believe the best way would be to use the USB input, and I would need some kind of 1/8inch or 1/4inch Jack / USB converter, into which I plug in the output of my amp, and that I connect to the computer with the USB port.

Goal is torecord tracks on Audacity software. continue reading...

Hi there

I'm looking to buy my first Harmonica amp.
I focus on Blues music.

I've had a number of people I respect recommend a Fender Pro Junior.

I'd like to buy a Marshall if I can though, does anyone know a similar spec'd Marshall?
How do they compare?

Thank you
