Just found this app for iPhone called Tempo Slow, and Tempo Slow Pro, which I tried, and it works great, has loops and all that stuff, and its free. Just thought I would throw it out there in case it can help someone out, and they didn't know about it. Cheers!

BlowsMeAway Mic for sale

Hi all,
forced to sell this beautiful great sounding mic from Blows Me Away Productions because of a divorce and I am trying to move back to America. Any that knows Greg Heumann knows he makes only the highest quality of mics. I currently live in Karlsruhe Germany. I would prefer to sell this mic to someone that lives in Germany because I don’t want to take any chances of this mic getting lost in the mail. If you are willing to take that chance, go for it. I am willing to ship anywhere and with tracking number plus insurance.

Fender Super Champ X2 settings

Hi fellow harpers.
I’m new to Harp playing and have just purchased my first amp; it’s a scx2. Would love to know if anyone has this amp and could throw me a few settings that they think work well with it. This would be a great help because if I sound bad I can blame my playing and not the amp setup. If it makes a difference I have a Shure green bullet 520DX mic.
I’m not interested in modifying the amp so please no recommendations for speaker and tube mods.
I got the idea that channel one is good to use with treble down and bass up. Will changing middle up or down also help (via Fuse). continue reading...

Stand alone amp

I attend a regular very loud jam. Unfortunately the sound man is not particularly harp friendly and has a habit of turning the harp down if its through the PA. probably due to some history of terrible players at the jam. I currently have a vht special 6 which is great if mic'd up through the pa properly.
I'm looking to upgrade to a standalone amp that can easily compete with a loud band and am willing to part with a reasonable amount of cash. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks G

Modifying An Epiphone Valve Junior (Legacy Valve Head)

Posted Thu, 04/11/2013 - 05:38 by Dave Hall
Dave Hall's picture

The Epiphone valve junior amps were sold under various names around the world. In Europe a version was sold under the name Harley-Benton GA5 (combo) and a head-only version as the GA5H.
This combo was pretty much exactly the same as an Epi VJ mk2 (in the case of the head, it was the same as the Epi head version, which was a Mk 2 with 3 output jacks)
The only difference is that the Harley Bentons have a tone control. More on this later.

In Australia, this very same amp was sold in a black tolex cab ( the HBs are blonde), branded "Legacy". continue reading...

This looks like a good deal for a harp amp. Has anyone tried it or have any thoughts on it.
