Hi Skip and everyone, I have a Boss Katana MK II amp that I sometimes play through (e.g., our annual block party... I'm a beginner and not a gigging player). I'm not sure if anyone else has used one of these for harp. I haven't really seen anything much online in this regard. continue reading...
I picked up an Ampro speaker cabinet with a 12 inch Ampro (Jensen from what I understand) P12 NS speaker. I measure it at 12.8 ohms. 2 questions:
1. the speaker has two 1/4 inch jacks on it. Is that to run speakers in series? I only use one if I want to connect it to a head, correct?
2. I also picked up a Challenger CH18 PA amp. It has speaker output jacks of 4, 8 and 15 ohms. If I want to connect just this speaker to this amp, which output jack do you recommend?
I recently got my hands on this beautiful little custom amp based on a 1957 5F1 champ. It sounds great at high volume, but the problem is that I need an anti-feedback pedal to be able to crank the volume. Without it, I only get up to 5.
Input #2 is low and sounds best for the harmonica. I use an JT30 mic.
What do you recommend to lower the gain so I can use the amp without a pedal?
Hello I am new here or I should say it's been a few years. I have just started playing again. I had sold my Fender Bassman. I t had a fantastic sound but was too heavy sometimes. I am looking at the Harp Gear 35 and can't seem to find any reviews. It looks like it could have what I want . Has anybody here played one? Thank you
I bought one of the above at the end of last year because I wanted a tube amp and it was new but half price. My only concern is that it is maybe not working properly. For example if I turn the gain down all the way it cuts the sound completely. Is this to be expected?
Any advice on this amp or anyone I should speak to, info hard to come by.
