Laney cub10 buzzing on high notes

Hi Skip, my amp buzz only when I play high notes on the harp. Could it be a microphonic preamp tube? Thank you for your help.

This is a bit of a tough one!

This is a bit of a tough one! It is certainly possible that you have a microphonic preamp tube. Substitution would be the best way to check. Two other possible causes come to mind; it could be the speaker or a "buzz" caused by vibration in the cabinet. Ideally, a person could temporarily rig the amp up to a different speaker cabinet to confirm, but sometimes it's just a loose speaker nut or even a handle that buzzes at certain frequencies.
