Yesterday I tested a 5F1, I thought it was very good!
In a 5f1 clone kit, would there be any recommendation to change the circuit? thinking for a harmonica construction.

Maybe a simple treble roll-off control mounted in one of the input jacks?

I've never seen one myself but the circuit (tweed Princeton) is a good one for harp. It is also one of the simplest circuits and a good choice for a newbie builder. Lotsa chatting about that circuit on my podcast because It's the circuit I use to convert silver-face Champs.
