Ever since I have joined bluesharmonica.com, I have been tongue switching to the 1.
Now I am at Accompaniment study 4 and there is a passage with a glisando to the 1. I find it a bit difficult to approach because now I would need to retrain myself to pucker the 1 with my tongue on "the wood".
What is the common way to approach that for people that primarily tongue switch for the 1? continue reading...

I went to the Discogs site to try and purchase your CD " It Takes Three" but it said none available. Do you know another site I can purchase it from? Or is my only option downloading the mp3's. Also for the transcripts do I have to order that from site page ( login page) or as a member can I some how purchase it another way?

Hi David
Is there anywhere on your site a library of licks? If not, would you know anywhere I can find it? Sometimes when I get impatient with slow step by step progress, I want to play around with licks, get them into body memory.
I recently started practicing one hour per day. Now I am experiencing soreness in my upper abdomen. Is it possible that this discomfort could be caused by so much drawing in while bending? If so, is this common or unusual?
I am brand new and started watching your tutorials. I purchased a C harmonica (Special 20), but noticed you recommend an A for Lesson 1. Is this required or can I use the C for your lessons?
-->you can ignore this post. I found other posts related to C harmonicas. I will do the C lesson which is available and then purchase the A before continuing. Thanks.
Thank you for helping me on My Blues. Am I understanding this right?
1. Dips: Start the dip at a quarter tone below the notated pitch; or start it as deep as I want to go. It's a feel thing. My choice.
2. Two Note Dips: Dip both notes at the same time; or dip one and then bleed into the other. My choice.
3. Sliding Down the Bend: Slide down to the notated pitch; or slide past the notated pitch and go as deep as I want to make it sound blusey. My choice.
I have two questions about the opening's bar 3 and then a question about the whole song:
1. In Bar 3, on the dip 3 4, I'm unclear on where to start the 3 dip and how much to release it before incorporating the 4: Do I start the 3 at half step bend, release a quarter tone, and then incorporate 4 to make it a dirty 3? Or do I start the 3 at half step bend, FULLY release the 3, and then incorporate 4 to make a dirty 3? Or maybe both approaches are wrong and I'm clueless? continue reading...
