Hi David. I have just recently subscribed to this service. I have been playing the harmonice for approx 4 years but never really with a metronome. My coordination is not great at times, which has put me off using one.

so my question(s) : any tips for adjusting to playing with the metronome? im currently on loa level 1, learning the walk with me study song. I do find it difficult to listen to both the metronome and the study song to which im playing along, simultaneously.

Furthermore, my metronome app. has a different beat for the first beat, as opposed to the subsequent 3 beats, any suggestions as to how to start the metronome to align my first beat with the first beat of the piece? or is that necessary?

Finally, re the forum, is there a means by which I can search for topics on the forum, without scrolling thropugh all the pages? Could not find a search bar to do this.

thanks very much

Barry

Hello Barry, welcome to the

Hello Barry, welcome to the site.

Playing with a metronome is a good challenge, but you'll get it...give it time and daily practice. There is a lesson on this https://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/rhythm_training This lesson covers some of your questions above.

Don't use a metronome to play with a backing track...only use it with you playing unacompainied.
