lvl 1 questions

Hello, David. Have some questions on lvl 1

1. What is the proper way to get rid of expta air on harmonica. I'm especially interested on how to do that in exercises 1.12 & 2.1. There are lots of inhales but almost no exhales or some space in rithm to breathe out :(

2. I can't figure out how should i practice moovment exercises without mastering bending technique, and what percentage of practice time should i spend on them.

Thanks for your time and for the great cource/

Buenas tardes. Estoy interesado en tocar jazz con la armónica. ¿Puedo hacerlo con las diatónicas o mejor con la cromática? Si es mejor con la cromática ¿mejor la de 10, la de 12 o la de 16 para empezar?

gracias por tu ayuda

Mid size amp recommendations

I'm interested in getting a mid-size amp, 15 watts or so. What are some better out of the box amps?

Are you doing new amp reviews? I see your list of equipment top picks is from 2020 but it doesn't have any advice about mid-size amps.

Music Theory 2

Good morning David. I don't quite understand a matter of Theory 2. When you talk about the third position in section 3 (Doric mode) you literally say that: Another way to think of it—and the most common way to think of it—is towrite the Major Scale and then lower the 3rd and the 7th Scale Degrees by half step.In exercise 3.2, when it is necessary to write the Dorian scale in D, A, E and B, the fourth degrees do not remain as notes with a sharp. continue reading...

Hey,

Any tips for best background music apps or websites for Blues, Pop, R&B. I am not looking to create my own music just for backing tracks at home. Could be free or economically good. Obviously one gets what one pay's for.

Thanks

I am working on getting ready to submit Accompaniment Study 4 - Fills.    How much do you want for submission?  Do you want the entire 5:00 minute songs with both solos?

Saliva and "Sonny's Bird"

Hello, when I play the whole "Sonny's Bird" without pause, I have problems with saliva.

In the very beginning of playing harmonica, I had too much saliva, but that disappeared rather quickly, I guess my tongue got used to a new contact and reacted less. It had never bothered me since, until now.

All study pieces have some rests during which I can swallow. But Sonny's Bird is long and with no pauses, and saliva becomes a challenge for me. continue reading...
