AAA Chorus Form with Fills

I'm fuzzy on instruction at 57 seconds of the video: "AAA Chorus Form with Fills."

I think I have the main idea:  We should play a fill that differs from the A Lick in terms of character.  This is so the listener hears a distinct difference between fill and lick.   continue reading...

Turnaround

Hello.

 

I'm currently working on improvisation study.

 

I realize that I'm confused with the turnaround structure.

 

Except the fact that the structure is V-IV-I-V, is there other rules concerning the turnaround?

I'm afraid there is hundred's...

Paying for Level 3 Test

Hi David - I was not able to submit my level 3 test material via the web site link (got the error message) so I emailed the materials to you.  Now I don't know how to pay for the test.  Is there a link on the website somewhere or will you invoice me?

Lick vocabulary

Im making progress on building that lick vocabulary.  

A couple questions

1- I believe you mentioned keeping a record of licks by starting pitch.  What is the idea there?

2- The licks I have done so far are I chord focused.  They would need to transposed or modified for IV chord?
