Hi David,

Is there a place on the website where we can find all of the backing tracks? I know that they accompanying particular songs, but I was wondering if the tracks are all collected in one place. Thank you.

Tongue Blocking Study 1 - Single Notes

David:  working Single Note Review - Tongue Blocking Study 1 Technique

I've been at this 30 to 60 minutes per day for a couple of weeks.

I can get through the exercise where we move through the scale from 4+ to 6+ the first time, but on the second time around (going up) my embouchure falls apart at 5 draw.

Is this common? Are there any fixes, or is it simply a matter of more hours

Thanks,

Evets

V chord in 12 bars blues on a C harp

Hi David,Hope you're doing fine. I have been using the 5 hole draw(which is a F note) as I play through the V chord. However, you mentioned in your vids that a natural F wouldnt be appropriate since its not F# that forms the traid. So my question is can I still used the 5 hole draw, the F note as I play through the V chord? Thanks

Tongue Blocking Study 3

In reviewing TBS3 in LOA4, I have the following question. Is Gary's Blues the only submission for this module or are we required to submit other work as well? An example of other work would be "Section 1 Ex 1.1 Pull" to a metronome, as you did in one of the videos. I'm no where near ready to submit but am planning out my study.

Q re 12th Bar

Posted Tue, 12/10/2019 - 06:33 by AceVentura

David,

Hope all is well. I have a question re the 12th bar, specifically the composition of the turnaround. In prior videos, I seem to recall that there were two versions of the 12th bar, one that brought finality to the chorus and another that seemed to continue the chorus into the next chorus. Am I correct on this? I seem to feel also that the 1 draw brings a sense of finality, as we discussed in our recent email exchange. Can you elaborate on the differences between the two from a practical perspective?

Thanks in advance.

Stand by Me

On the PDF sheet showing words to the song Stand By Me what notes should appear for each word.

A blank retangle appears above each word. I would like each rectangle filled in with what note should be played for each word.

Thank you,    John

A Harmonica or C Harmonica?

Hi there,

I was sold a C Harmonica (SilverStar) when I asked for a good one to begin with... but it seems that an A Harmonica is what you use in the lessons and what you want us to use... if I use my C, what's the difference?

Thanks

Will I be able to play such a song after completing the LoA?

Hello David.

Please listen to this song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPPGv5hBE0Y

My question is do you teach how to play like that? I'm going through the 4th LoA lessons and so far none of the lessons felt as such. Except maybe some movement exercises.

So will I be able to play such a song after completing the LoA? :-)
