Jerry Portnoy Interview
The Jerry Portnoy interview is fantastic. When you are both discussing the concept of improvising, light bulbs were going off in my head. I memorized Jerry's Blues for Big Nate, and it made this interview especially relavant. Thanks Dave for including these interviews as part of your program. Every one offers gold nuggets and inspiration especially when you play it out with your guest.
Thanks for the info Dave. I didn't realize this was a "new" lesson with additional material. I assummed it was the original bonus material related to the LOA sudies. What a great story. It actually gave me chills.
James: I couldn't agree more re David's interview with Jerry Portnoy. I hope you've checked out Jerry's website, and his stories about growing up around Maxwell Street in Chicago. At 76 years old, Jerry has so much to teach us, and not just about harmonica. To watch and listen to Jerry and David together was a true joy.
