Interesting. I just purchased a Rocket Low C which I like. The Hohner packaging that it came in, i.e. the underside of the box identifies Progressive for Country, Pop, jazz. Marine band is mostly Blues. MS-Series blues, pop, and Country, and then the Enthusiast which is a mix. Is this purely marketing? Progressive is not Blues Application?
On a whim I decided to get one, in particular to use as a teaching tool, and also so that when practicing harp I can just keep it in my lap, rather than getting up and going back and forth over to the piano. continue reading...
I just started on this site and with my harmonica, so if this has been answered before, excuse me.
I have been trying to get acurate bends, and thought it would be nice if I could get a visual picture of what pitch I am at or how I am deviating from the ideal when I practice bends.
Is there an decent and simple pitch meter app or windows program that you know of? Preferably free or at least cheap?
I own now a VHT special 6, I have read the VHT Special 6 amp review, and I wanted to know
for the recommended settings for the Bulletini ( I have the HB52 that is quite similar) do you activate the pull boost on the volume knob or you stay on the clean channel ?
I've been learning sonny's bird from the artist study section and decided to record myself playing with a shure SM58 vocal mic through my bassman via a lone wolf reverb pedal. It sounds great but I had to turn the volume on the amp to nearly full to get any kind of volume, which even then isn't anything like loud enough if I was to perform it this way.
Can anyone explain what I need to do to improve this?
Now that the pandemic is easing (COVID's still here, but the virus has morphed into simply making more people less sick) and we can get back to live playng, I've finally gotten around to putting together a good remote set-up. Based on David's advice about what he uses, I just completed the set-up with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. continue reading...
Hi, I need some help with Harpninja. first, in settings what is the tunerMode and what does it do? Second, while playing a note and the green arc goes past a note to the right, is that playing flat or sharp. and how to correct it. I seem to play this way consistent through all holes. Thanks
An unpaid endorsement for KÜHL® "Resitor" and "Radiki" pants.
I've been upgrading my wardrobe recently, and bought a pair of each model. They're basically outdoor hiking and mountaineering pants, but with some features harmonica players will appreciate.
In addition to regular front and back pockets, both models have pockets on each side that are a bit forward-offset and lower. One works great for a cell phone. In fact, KÜHL® even advertises that you can sit down without squashing your phone. And they're right. I've tried it. continue reading...
