Any guesses for settings on Musselwhites setup here

I am completely in love with the amout of break-up Musselwhite gets in this video: https://loudfunk.dk/watch?v=ALU5g6Qqi08

Does anyone have an idea (or maybe secure knowledge) of the amp (size etc) he was playing through for this gig?

I do know that tone is in the hands and mouth of the player, so that's not what I am asking here. My questing is relating to the light distortion he gets.

My new go-to place for harp-gear in Rome/Europe

I just wanted to share with any european-based users of this forum, that I had a great visit to Bluexlab's shop in Rome yesterday.

In-person harmonica gear and -service in Europe can be a bit difficult with a lot of extra costs added for shipping etc. if you live out of the big centers, so I was very pleased to discover that Bluexlab was located in Italy.

I live in Denmark, but came here on holiday and took a day to go visit Max Manganelli in his shop. I've had my eyes on his VC's for a long time, but always thought it would add a bunch of customs etc. to get one. continue reading...

Pedal into solid state amp?

Posted Thu, 05/23/2024 - 15:29 by UkuleleRob65

My main amp is a Lone Wolf HarpTrain 10. I like it a lot, but also have an old Roland Cube 30 that puts out a lot of volume. I recently picked up a Lone Wolf Harp Attack pedal, to run int the Cube 30. Haven't played the setup in public yet (still experimenting), but could be doing so soon. So ...

Anyone else here have experience with running pedals like the Harp Attack into solid state amps? What's your experience been? How close to tube sound have you been able to get? How about feedback issues? Other issues or thoughts?

Thanks!

Mic reverb peddle and amp set up cables.

Would appreciate feedback on this proposed setup. Mic to reverb peddle via instument cable. Peddle to amp via instrument cable. Amp to speakers via speaker cable.

Ultrasonic Cleaner

I cleaned my C hard (Hohner Crossover) in an ultrasonic cleaner. After putting it back together, it doesn't feel as reactive as it used to, and it takes more effort to bend notes. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Amp stand

Hello all,

Any good amp stands out there to accommodate 4x10 Sonny Jr/bassman combos? Seems like the overall size and open back factors make it tricky.

Thanks!

Sonic Pipe Windy City still tops?

After looking through the Equipment page/Amp Reviews, the Sonic Pipe Windy City was rated the best small amp. However, I believe this review was done in 2013(?). So, in 2023, is the Sonic Pipe Windy City still the top rated, under $500 small amp out there? I'm hoping to buy soon, and would love to have a small amp with great tone right out of the box.

Thanks,

Marty

Pa amplifiers

Hello to all, i am loking at amps for street/home and rather that go valve was wondering if a PA with various pedals can sound good.So my interest is if the DUAL CUBE BASS LX would get that crunch being made for bass guitar.

If not what would be a good choice, i only looked at speaker size bigger being better i thought...volume isnt my main concern.

There are so many options but all are for guitar first and foremost.

Hi all,

I've been using a free slow downer app for last 4 plus years and it is no longer available or supported. What is the go to app these days?

Thanks
