How to get that Alan Wilson sound?

Hey guys,

Any thoughts about alan wilson's sound? I really like his sound, especially on "on the road again", "boogie chillen n.2", "help me" and his "pulling hair blues". don't even have the right vocabulary to describe it but I would sure like to know what did he use and how did he manage to produce that cool (imo) sound.

Thanks

Pragmatic Draw Bend

Posted Wed, 06/03/2015 - 08:25 by jazz guitar

I have been practicing draw bending for a little while now, and experiencing a lot of frustration.  I learned to make all of the draw bends, but controling them has been a real issue.  Recently, I started fooling with the 'Beatles' song 'And, I love her'.  The tab that I used went up for the phrase, 'And, I love her'.  It sounded very wrong to me.  So, I trasnscribed it to the lower register.  What I found was that I needed a full-step, 3 hole, draw bend to play the phrase.  continue reading...

Backing track for Aki Kumar's "Bombay Stroll"

I love this song and I'd really like to learn it. I have already purchased the transcription set for "It Takes Three" CD, but I can't find a backing track that would match. Any suggestions?

Better yet, it would be really nice if the original track was added to the material of "Recording Study 4 - Professional Studio" lesson.

Tips needed LOA 5 Assignment 3

Im starting on the "write you own instrumental" assignment 3 and sure would appreciate some tips from those who have completed this. How did you start this? Did you pick out a track first and then matched licks to it or the other way around? what worked and what did not? If you had to do it again what would you do differently? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

I would like to create a  'jam track' by removing the harmonica solos from songs.

Is there any software that I can do this with ?

        Thank you for your time
