tongue and jaw trembling when tongue blocking

Hello all,

I've been learning harp using the pucker technique up until I started these lessons. I find that when I try tongue-blocking, my jaw and tongue tremble. Is this something wrong with my technique, or is it just a matter of developing strength in my jaw and tongue? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone out there know where you can find harp mic gaskets to fit a Shure CR element into a Turner 254 shell? HarpMicGaskets.com made great gaskets to fit this, but the owner was killed in a car accident and the site is shut down. I have a great element here and I don't want to Mickey Mouse something.  Help!

What are the pros and cons of opening up the coverplates in back on a SP20?  It'll increase the volume but does it affect the tone?  Anyone like this mod or hate it?

Contests

How does anyone find out when a new contest is starting? I have no idea how often these contests occur, but the last few times I've been on the site, the contest has been Chromatic King (even though the contest had ended a while ago). As far as I know, there is no way to find out when there will be a new contest. Is this true?

Replacing Reed Plates

Hello ... I have been looking for someone that has asked this question, but from my search I didn't find anything.  Can you replace  hohner reed plates with  lee oskar or vs vera? Or any brand that supplies reed plates?   I mean if they are the same shape couldn't it be done?  Or say you had a hohner blueband harp and wanted to replace the reed plates with something better could that work?

Thanks for reading my post.
