I am trying to find good blues songs to play that would have tabs and maybe even jam tracks.
I have purchased at least 5 Hal Leonard Style tab books for the classic players, but I cannot understand their tabulature and maybe even the correctness of the supplied songs. It is really annoying.
I can play to the intermediate level, but I have issues with my UBlocking and my pulls. I am getting better but I can bend and do most of the techniques but have problems due to my tongue shape. continue reading...
Hello everybody, I'm new in this forum, my name is Danilo and I am from Rimini, Italy. I apologize for my english, I never studied it in school. I like Jerry McCain very much and I would like to study an instrumental called 728 Texas, where Jerry plays a Tremolo. Which kind of tremolo I have to buy to play this song? I think it's in C key but I don't know if it's a 21 holes or 24 holes tremolo, or another kind of harmonica. Can someone help me?
Hello everybody, i´m having many problems when I try to mic my amp on the bandstand...
I did as David taught us, but I´m getting too much feedback. I´m not sure if I´m doing everything right. Sometimes, if I just turn the volume control I little bit, I get lots of feedback..
I set my 20 watts (small gig) on MAX, almost no gain, bass on 10 and treble around 2.
But what about the settings on the mixing table? should I let the controls "flat"? ou should also turn the bass up and treble down? We don´t have a sound engenieer, how do I know if I´m playing too loud?? continue reading...
I have purchase quite a few Hal Leonard Chicago Blues Harmonica tab books. But for the life of me I cannot figure out the tab.
I am a advanced beginner and I want to hear the classics beging played and attempt to play some of it. Some follk say just listen to it and you don't need tabs.
Well later on, maybe for me. Does anybody know of a good source of maybe Little Walter's songs or anyone of that stature that I can find.
I love playing the instructional songs, but I am trying to get playing some Classics. Maybe when I go to heavean. ha...
I don't know if this is something which is a sensible question or not as I am not sure what the situation is so forgive me if I missed the obvious.
But as a beginner I have noticed several variations in the way tabs are written. Some draw notes have no symbol, some draw notes have an underline etc. Some effects can only be reproduced with a special symbol like slaps, draw bends or shakes which can't be done on a keyboard. continue reading...
One of the biggest problems I have at the jam session is improvising good licks to fit with the songs. Sometimes the creativity well runs dry. I have learned many licks from songs that I have picked up, but still grasp at coming up with ideas. Does anybody have any recommended material (books, CDs, downloads, etc) on basic/common licks to help build a vocabulary? Preferably with audio so I can hear the beat, groove, phrasing, etc. Would like to build up my repertoire to have more to pull from at the jam session.
