For any one that does not know,a great down load is the Bendometer its free to use for the first few times then you have to pay about $20.I use it all the time just to see what hole I'm on but its great to see the bends you can do.
How much overbending is importan in blues?
I like classic Chicago Blues style, in this style i think there is no overbending,
i don't like how they sound, but in some cases seam need (like first position).
Thanks to all who help me on that question! :)

Are you in?... let me know so I can have the tables ready.

DON'T MISS THIS RADIO DOCUMENTARY TOMORROW SUNDAY:
"BENT SPECTRUM" this Sunday at 3PM on CBC 2, and 9PM on CBC 1
This is the first time airing of an hour long documentary on the HARMONICA featuring interviews/music with my myself and Howard Levy whom I studied with years ago. I have not heard this yet, but i know this is bound to be very insightful and entertaining. I heard a piece by the same creator and interviewer - the wonderful Cindy Bisaillon - on a radio documentary about TIME (from science to humour, to the philosophy of time). continue reading...
Did anybody else happen to see the Apprentice Finale last week? If you did you got to see Cindy Lauper perform one of MY favorite Blues numbers: "I'm Just Your Fool", accompanied by the GREAT Charlie Musselwhite!! It was awesome! I found myself singing along...
Wow, wow and wow!!!! Another great event and set of experiences at this first class set of workshops and "concerts" (like blow outs). And the greatest thing was meeting many of the people on this site and putting faces to names. Thanks to all of you for making this as special as it was!! And a special thanks to David and his crew (Dennis!! plus all the others) for a memorable experience. It was sad as the last workshop was finishing to realize this was the last one but maybe an annual "bluesharmonica members get together" would be worth considering??? continue reading...
