5 vibrato question

Hello Dave,

Here is a question that does not let me sleep at night :)

On the Tremolo and vibrato lesson song.

How do you exactly approach that 5 vibrato on the first chorus?

Do you use mostly your vocal cords or a "ya-ya" or "ay-ay" type vibrato with your tongue?

Thanks in advance!

Accompaniment Playing - Chords - I Want You With Me

Hi David, please can you help me understand why in the Song "I Want You With Me" we are not playing #s for the I, IV and V cords. By my understanding, the cords for the Key of E are as follows: I = E G# B, IV = A C# E, V = B D# F# and we are playing G, C and D natural. Thanks. Ashley

Hi Dave,

I'm currently working my way through Improvising study 1 material. On your videos when you explain the homework assignments, am I supposed to submit it to you as I do them or simply submit the Level 4 test material when I feel ready to?

Also, is there a fee for each submission?

Many thanks

Saul

When I play Feelin' for the Blues, I usually add a lot of slaps. For the recorded homework, would you prefer us to stick to the written page?

Trouble hitting some slapped notes cleanly, especially hole 5

I don't always hit the 5  draw slap cleanly; more like I hit it low and slide into it. I am sort of new to tongue blocking, started out with puckering. I am sure this will improve as I go along. I wonder if there are some specific execises that might be of benefit.

Chorus 6 of Temperature begins with a 5 draw slap and it would sure be nice to be able to hit that with some authority. This is holding me up some, as I hope to finish level 2 by the end of the year.
