In Take It Easy Now, chorus three, the first two notes of triplet pickups on holes 1 & 2, would you side swap there? Momentarily lip purse? Tongue block the first hole draw on the right side of the tongue? I have been practicing for a while side swapping, but I just can't seem to get a clean transition. So far it sounds like there's a little space in between the notes where I would like them to be able to sound connected.

Is thinking that I should always play the one hole on the left side of my tongue an unneccessary limitation?

Hello TylerWyler. You can

Hello TylerWyler. You can tongue switch it, like you normally do. You will get fast at it and it will sound smooth. With that said, your other two methods are acceptable too. It’s all over the place how players approach the 1, and there is no ramifications for one or the other (tongue blocking, with your tongue to the right, generally has a bigger tone, but at that speed it’s a non-issue). Experiment and see what works for you, and it will be the right decision.
