Hello Everybody; This is my second week doing the course and I am enjoying it.I have been playing for 6 month using the pucker method so now it is a challenge to switch to the tongue blocking method but i am sticking with for the moment. The harp that used to use was a Marine Bank Classic in C and now for two weeks I have been using a Special 20 in A for the course. continue reading...
My name is Steve from Switzerland. I have just signed up for the classes. I have been playing for 7 months now.
Here is my question now: I have a big nose, not freakingly big but big enough so that when I hold my Marine Band my nose is always on the way with my fingers. Is that something normal or I am not holding the harmonica well?
ok. hace to ask what I'm not seeing. I dowloaded the level 1 pdf for the written portion and I can open and type in it but I'm only seeing a single page with half a dozen or so exercises on it.
am I seeint it all, or is there more than a single page and I'm just doing something wrong?
I'm working on LOA 2 studies, and I thought I'd give it a go to start to learn to bend yesterday. Like many of you I'm sure, I had no success at all at first, leading me to think "will I ever get it?" I feel with patience and perseverance it'll eventually happen, probably all of a sudden. I'm just curious the amount of time until you had even the smallest success at getting a bent note. Also, what hole on the "A" or "C" harp did you have initial success with? continue reading...
Just wanted to share a way that helped me remember the placement of the draw notes on the C diatonic that may be helpful to students. With the world being so hot on using acronyms I figured that maybe I could use reverse acronyms to memorize the draw notes . The draw notes on the C diatonic are : D G B D F A B D F A. My contrived “ reverse acronym “ , using the first letter of each word to represent the note, is as follows : Dennis - Gruenling - Builds - Damn - Fine - Astatics - Builds - Damn - Fine - Astatics. continue reading...
I wonder if there is a place at the internet where I could find 'original' jam tracks for harmonica; with this I mean; the original full sound track of a harmonica song where only the harmonica sound is left out while all other instruments and possibly the voices are still in? If so, to my opinion this would provide an ideal way of learning songs from great players
Or would anyone know if there may exist a tool or app (free or payable) by means of which I could take a full sound track of a song and delete for example the harmonica sound from it....? continue reading...
Hello everyone , my name is Ronnie Sarkar , I am from India and I have started learning the harmonica from this site just few moments ago. That being said , I now possess only a C harmonica of Suzuki Manji .
Hoping to make proper use of the website throughout my stay over here and I also wanted some suggestions whether my current harmonica is suitable for the beginning levels or not. I am getting an A harmonica as soon as I can.

Good morning everyone. I would like to get this groups experiences with computer-based recording software and amplifier modeling. I need to practice quietly without disturbing the family so I use a PC, an interface and plug a microphone into that, either with an XLR cable or quarter inch. I then use a recording package known as Reaper. And I have an add-on module known as Amplitube. With Amplitube you can purchase additional amplifier models. I have purchased a 59 batsman.
