I'm having a hard time trying to bend the 4 draw while tongue blocking,
I can bend holes 1-2-3 quite comfortably, but not hole 4.
Do you have any idea why? Is there a certain trick - maybe a certain articulation needs to be done?
I'm not quite clear on this because I've never heard it discussed..is it possible to tongue slap a bent note? As in you have a riff and want that big sound so you slap all the notes but one of them is bent? With all my attempts the bend comes a moment after the slap and sounds more like a dip bend. Are the muscles in my throat just not ready yet?
On the Acc. King page it says Sat. July 20 is the last day to enter. In the What's New Forum it says it ends Friday. Just to clarify for us procrastinators, what is the latest day and time that entries can be uploaded?
I'm planning on going, but it looks like a lot of the seminars and entertainment events are going to be jazz/country/classical oriented than I would prefer. But I'm sure it will be fun and educational. Do you have any other inside information that isn't on the SPAH website?
I was just learning Telephone Blues from the newsletter today. I really like how you talk about "classic" movement up and down the diatonic in 3rd position slow blues. Is there equivalent "classic" GHSmith movement on the chromatic other than that that's included in the 5 lessons on the site?

I am trying to go through the cupping and hand effects, and Ive got a shure x520 mic which my girlfriend bought me for my birthday, but I think my hands are too darn small for it. I can't seem to have a good grip, not to mention generate a wa-wa effect.
