Somewhere I heard you explaining the flutter tongue and you played an example of "Oh When The Saints" while using the flutter. It sounded really cool and I wanted to come back to it. But I've looked through a number of flutter tongue examples and can't seem to find it.

Hi David,
Just for clarification purposes, for the IV chord, as long as there is a blow note(s) somewhere in bars 5 and 6, does it matter if I start bar 5 with a draw note say draw 4 for example. Also I do know that we can use draw 2, is it the same principle, you can use draw 2 anywhere in bars 5 and 6 and in this case you would not have to use a blow note.
Any thoughts on the software Anytune? It seems to be getting better ratings on IPad than The Amazing Slowdowner lately. I know the idea is that we merely need to slow down the music to be able to play to it and learn it, but I'm figuring $15 is $15, so why not get the best bang for the buck? Do you have any experience with Anytune or does anybody else that might be able to give their opinion. I was going to just purchase The Amazing Slowdowner until I saw the difference in recent reviews on both. Thanks for any input!
David... Where can I get Improvising Blues Harmonica with the CD. I prefer the actual book and CD not the download. I want to learn what notes and chords I can play when I'm in the I IV and V chords. I'm starting to understand the 12 Bar Blues but what are all the notes and chords u can play in each I IV V chord as u go thru the 12 Bar Blues and as I listen to the jam tracks?
Sorry if this question has been asked before. I'm trying to get the timing right for Temperature. On your recording of Temperature, in Chorus 6, 2nd measure, if you slow the track right down it sounds like there is an extra note in there. Is it a slap or something else? I can't get it to sound right playing the notes in the Tab. Thanks.
Hi. I am having trouble getting to LOA3 badge. I have the other parts sort of under my belt but the solo piece is really challenging. I know there is a lot of trial and error in learning the bend but I am not entirely sure I am starting from the best start position in my trials and errors. So far in the LOA series I have been tongue blocking with the side of my tongue, or the middle line between top and bottom. But for the best position to learn bending should be it be more top side, bottom side, or middle?
I hear this really really cool sound from a lot of harmonica players. The sound is really hard to explain, but as I've studied pulls and slaps more that its gotta be related. Rather than try to explain the sound and guess at what it is I found an example of it.
In submission #7 of Gary Smith at around 3:49 - 3:50. Its this like extended slap maybe, but it feel like its the opposite in or out of the single note you resolve to ... continue reading...
