I drown in solo study 1

Hi!

I was wondering what I was doing wrong with exercise 1.12 of Solo Study #1 (very catchy pattern, by the way). I can't take more than 4 bars before runnning out of air in my lungs and drown!

Is there any obvious advice or something I may have missed as a beginner with the harmonica?

Thank you for your time and greetings from Barcelona. Your lessons are great!

LOA5 Songwrting

David Hi, I have been recording my improvisation LOA5 section for submission in a piecemeal way recording discreet Chorus Forms as I found suitable material. But having reread your submission requirements I now think your expectation was for a completed piece chorus 1 through to 6 as a continuous piece. Could you confirm that is what you expect? Whilst most of it is in one piece I had not included an AAA (head) thinking I would find something that I felt more suitable.

Theory 2- Third Position

Hi David, Im a bit confused on exercise 3.5 of Theory 2 for Third Position.

Im referencing the graphic 3.3 with the Dorian scale beginning on D (1 draw).  I see how the scale goes up and it makes sense (at least on paper)

I then try to do the scale degree exercise in 3.5 and Im off.

1) The third scale degree would be 2" but you show it as 2'

2) Likewise I dont understand 3' as 6b when I dont see that note on the scale.

This seems amzingly complex and confustion.

Temperature progression

Hi David,

I just started to recongnize blues progression (Level 2)

Temperature 1st chorus, bar 5-6 should be in chord "IV", which is "C", which is +1 or +4 or +7 or +10. But you have +5 as the main note.

3rd chorus, bar 5-6 again, should be in "C", but you have +2 as the main note.

What am I missing?

Study Song not showing up in email

David, I sent my Study Song to my email account  from the Voice Memo app on my iPhone, and it's been well over an hour, and it hasn't shown up. Does it take longer than this because it's a bigger file than the other submissions?

And if it doesn't show up, what is the next best option for getting a recording to you?

 Update: continue reading...

Hello Dave, I think I submitted all the material for LOA#7 via your email and was able to pay the fee via the LOA#7 submission site.  If not please forward directions.  Look forward to reading your evaluation.

Creating a sequence

David G'Day when I am converting a lick that starts with 3+ into a sequence do I start counting from 2 or 3+.  3+ would be 4 and 2 would be 4+  ??.  Confusing. Im guesing that 2 and 3+ is counted as one therefore 4 draw (sounds like) would be the sequence note.
