Hi David, when performing vibrato, please can you confirm where the tongue should be placed in the mouth. Hope this finds you and family well.

Regards

Hi DavidMy Name si Benjamin and i am French (sorry for my  english)

otherwise, i enter in "lessons" and i saw there was a special one for C harmonica in level 1 but for one side, it dosn t seem to be as complete as the LaO level one and for the other side what about the others levels with C harmonica? continue reading...

Submissions

I was wondering if there is any way on the site to view all the students submissions to you after each lesson?

I have noticed after browsing around that you have a file system that looks like we can view our own submissions, I think thats what it is. But was thinking it would be neat to see all the students submissions and even your responses and critiques on them. I know you have one or two students videos as a part of this learning system that we can see but am talking about all students.  continue reading...

Trouble with 4 Draw

Posted Thu, 05/07/2020 - 12:42 by larochey

Hey there,

Pretty much brand new. 2 weeks in.

I feel really good about tongue blocking blowing, and get good tone. But, when I draw, I can barely get any sound. It sort of feels like my cheeks collapse in, and I can't draw any air in.

Not sure how to diagnose this.

Thanks!

Playing high-end harp with an amp

David

I am working on "The Stretch" for Level 9 and my question concerns the best way of cupping the harmonica and mic when moving from the low to the high end. I am used to playing at the low end with the high end of the harmonica being outside the cup. What is the best way to change the relative hand/mic/harmonica position to get the high end sound into the mic?

Thanks

Gary

Which key harmonica should I choose?

Hi David,

I am BRAND NEW to the Harmonica, and music in general (To the point where I did not know what a key was, until a few weeks ago). The last time I took a music class was in elementary school. So again, this is all brand new to me. I have always been drawn to, and intruiged by the Harmonica. I am eager to learn, so one day I can teach my kids.  continue reading...

I know in one of the videos it is recommended to have a Low F,G,A,Bflat,C,and D.

My question is at what lesson and what key comes next and is there a list of all 6 keys and at what lesson they are needed.

I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and purchase a 7 set. And finally if I do go ahead and purchase a set of 7 what key should I get for the 7th one.  continue reading...

David Barrett and or Greg Heumann:

Just curious....

Does BluesHarmonica have plans to veview the sE/HOHNER Harp Blaster HB52 microphone?

The HB52 has generated interest in some of the harp groups, but I have not seen an unbiased review of how it stands up against other harp mics.

Improvising Study 3

Hi David:

I'm putting work in on Imp. study 3. I sped up the jam track I was using a bit to add a little more excitement to the instrumental. I also have some ideas for choruses I would like to replace. Is it ok that I do some rewriting, or would you prefer I keep it the same for consistency sake? I will still use all the different chorus forms and different focus notes, just have better ideas as I'm improving. Thank you for your time.

Erik
