Songs with Tramp Groove

G'day, i am working on putting together an instrumental based on the "Tramp" groove (as used in "the strut" lesson), to play with my band. I'm hoping you may be able to help my inspiration by directing my attention to some recordings which use this kind of beat.
thank you,
Dave

Tremelo and Vibrato

Anybody get on board with their tremelo and vibrato pretty quickly? I've been playing about 2 1/2 going on 3 years and I just 1) hate coughing and 2) I don't hear it from the players on the records I'm learning from. For example, in Little Walter's Blue Midnight I only hear 4 tremelos (probably vibratos now that I think of it), but I'm guessing he's playing them on many others. I hear a faint, faint, faint really fast vibrato--I think) and this is on a mac, with bose speakers with the Complete Chess Masters CD and my hearing is very good. continue reading...

William Clarke's Lollipop Mama

Wow - in looking for the lyrics for this one, I discovered there's a lot of songs with the same or a similar name - some of which are "interesting" to say the least. I'm trying to find the lyrics for William Clarke's version so if anyone can help me out or point me in a direction, it would be much appreciated. I've bought the song and have the YouTube URL for his video.

Thanks in advance

SOME THOUGHTS ON TAKING IT ALL IN

Like many participants at BluesHarmonica.com, I am in awe that the skills and techniques needed to convincingly play blues on the harmonica are all in one place and are so thoroughly presented for the learner. I have, however, noted a somewhat perplexing theme in some of the recent comments reflected across the Forums…

"There are so many things that I want to get better at. What do I have to do to fit it all in now?" Answer: “You cannot fit it all in all at once." continue reading...
