Hi everybody. Bob from New Jersey here. Can any of you amazing harp players clarify something for me? What exactly are harps in the key of "high" G and "low" F? The guy at the local music store told me that "high" G is the same as Ab, and I'm pretty sure that's not true. He doesnt know anything about harpin.
Do I need these harps for my playing? Listen to Broke and Hungry from the Crucial Blues Harmonica CD. When I play that song, I can never make the solo sound like Billy Branch. Ronnie Shellist told me it's because he's using a high G harp, which I dont have. continue reading...
g'day, wondering if its just me or a broader problem. i'm finding a lot of videos taking a long time to load, like twice the length of the clip. especially bad tonight but its been happening sporadically over the last couple of weeks. if you have a similiar problem could you post below, and maybe mention your location also?
I've had been through each interview when they came out. They all have some very valuable info. However recently I've visited all the interviews to watch the segments on improvising. Man did I get a bunch of info on that topic. I would highly recommend re-visiting the interviews often because as you progress new things will jump out at you that you didn't catch the first time.

after watching a few of marks film clips on the road ,i think he has a bad attitude. great harp player,just a little disgruntled. sorry mark,i know ya don't care,just my opinion. just another harp novice
