Hi Dave.
I think I am getting easily (after hours and hours of working) the bends on the high octave while tongue blocking, but I need an exercise, lick, song piece,..., that demands perfect bending control for the harmonica high part.
Can you advice about that?
If possible I need the same for 3 draw bends articulation but if possible not an exercise but a song.
Dave, on wed., aug 30, i sent you an audio e-mail of me playing all 5 different chord forms. it was a lengthly piece, and i was told that i could not send it, because it was too big of a file. i was going to resend it via 2 different e-mails today, but when i got into me e-mail on thurs. i found an e-mail from you saying 10-4 no worries. I wanted to make sure you got my recording before i moved on to somethingelse.
David,
Perhaps I have missed it, but is there a place on the site where the major scales in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position can be found. It would be great to have those along with perhaps the blues scales of the same positions together on a page like the chorus forms or the harp note layout.
Do you have any suggestions on the 1st hole bend for some reason this has been the most frustrating for me. According to my tuner I'm getting all three steps out of the 3rd hole but I wouldn't always call them musical pitches. I can obtain the 1st hole bend if I pucker but not so much if I tongue block all my other bends are tongue blocked. Thanks for any advice you have.
In Solo study 1 Ex: 2.1 Shuffle 1 when I Pull on the upbeat do I say " Pa " ( you say Pa in the video ) or just take my Tongue off? Pa better for articulation
My dad plays campfire, folk stuff he learned while living in Australia using the U-block embouchure. I also saw on the interview that Nemeth does it too. Is there any advantages to this embouchure for any techniques in the world of bluse harmonica?
