Accompaniament study 7

Hi David,

I've just started looking at Accompaniament study 7 (Ex 1.1 - 1.3 and 2.1 - 2.5) but I don't understand where you would use these examples in accompaniament playing. For example, are base lines used throughout the song or just in certain parts of the song.

Many thanks,

Paul

Tabbing out sheet music

Posted Sat, 10/08/2016 - 12:35 by buddymc

As part of the music theory studies I thought I'd tab out a song.  Something simple like Yesterday by the Beatles.  It's in F.  It has a natural B and a sharp C in the second bar.  Trying to play in first or second position calls for either an overblow or blow bend.  Neither of which I can do.  I've ran into this with a couple of songs tabbed.  Is there a suggestion to help with this?  I'm not advanced enough to do either yet.

Hi David,

I'm still enjoying the course very much.

I've now learnt the 12 Major Diatonic Scales.

Could you please let me know what lesson covers, the notes of each scale on harmonicas.

I want to learn if there is any patern regarding the layout of the notes on each Harmonica scale please.

Many thanks,

Calum.

Hi David,

Regarding determinig which key harp to use.  The lesson tends to focus on that if you choose the

key of the harp that you can choose to tell the band which key to play in so that you will be in the second postion.

For example: an exert from my notes on your lecture.... continue reading...

Playing with rack study

Posted Sat, 10/01/2016 - 07:39 by BCurtis

David:

I recently ordered a basic three string box guitar. I thought it would be fun to pick up some blues slide guitar on it while playing a harmonica in a rack. It would be great if there was a video here on rack playing. Did not know if yourself or one of the contributors could add some insight on proper rack playing or do a video.

Thanks

Brian
