I recently switched from iPhone to Galaxy z flip 3. I can play mp3 files directly from a usb drive, one at a time manually. I can't figure out how to play several files automatically. I would also like to add files directly to the phone's internal storage; nothing I have tried has worked so far. Any help will be appreciated. continue reading...
I went to the dentist yesterday for a temporary crown to fix a broken tooth. After grinding most of it away to make a base for the crown he remarked, "that was quicker than I expected... usually with this tooth the tongue gets in the way." I told him I was learning to play the harmonica, which requires good tongue control. So there it is, another non-musical benefit to learning the harmonica :-)
I finished LOA 1 recently, and am starting level 2..I'm having a harder
time with the rythm of Temperature than I did with Walk with Me.
In Walk with me, the 4 taps set the beat and speed for me and I just kept that in my head as I played..but Temperature, instead of start with 4 taps to set the beat, goes tap, tap, tap-tap-tap and I don't get it..
I've come to this school because I wanted to add tongue blocking to my previous pucker embouchure and, who knows, maybe become exclusively a tongue blocker.
I'm hoping this is the right place to ask, is it normal to suffer reeds blocking (probably with moisture) whilst playing TB, something I never had puckered? Specifically I'm having this problem with 5 hole draw.
Interested in folks' thoughts about this "Performance Tip" idea that may be pretty far off of David's radar, but:
Who have you seen on the bandstand that you thought did a really good job of guiding the band? Does R.J. Mischo come to mind? I.e., someone who doesn't rehearse with a regular band, and might be on stage with musicians of varying skill and knowledge of the leader's repertoire? Or how about at your local blues jam, where the host may regularly assemble groups at random? continue reading...
I'd like to start a discussion about the role that CPAP, booze, caffeine, and weed affect our performance as harp players. Here's why.
In April I began CPAP therapy after being diagnosed with mild apnea. It took a little while getting used to, but I love it now--better sleep, feeling more rested in the morning, and my practice sessions are going better. continue reading...
