Bluesy Christmas

Hi Buddies,

One year has past since I started to study on bluesharmonica.com

Form context, textures, scales, bending; what's the meaning of all this stuff if not to converge in what your heart wants to say when you get inspired? I composed this song almost on spot, without writing anything, just recording it chorus by chorus.

This is my way to say to everybody marry christmas and to really say thanks to DAVID BARRET.

I appreciate the teacher and the man that in this year has made something like a drem to become reality.

Enjoy.

Supertramp "School" Harp Intro

@Kakashi's and his request in the forum,

Here's my attempt at Transcribing the Harp intro. (D Harmonica in 2nd Position) Link to the "Live Version" I tabbed it from, http://youtu.be/jSel-X11by0

I think this is the "core" of the intro. Sorry I don't have all the symbols Dave uses to tab (You'll have to figure out the timing)

The Duke revisited (transmissionfromearth Remix)

Few weeks ago I added the harmonica to a track a friend of mine recorded. I like the combination of electronics an harmonica - so I share this here even though it's not a Bluestrack. I used the Zoom ampsimulation for this. Hope you enjoy it! Regards Kai

one Scotch, one Bourbon, one Beer

So I have a new project in the form of  harp, vocal and bass trio. After a "spirited" night out last week I came up with the name "one Scotch, One Bourbon, one Beer" and we have been playing around with our signature tune! The harp is working alongside the bass to provide accompaniment and there is a decidedly dodgy but fun American/ East Yorkshire accent going on during the ad lib monologue towards the end! continue reading...

They're Red Hot

This recording involves ukelele, stomp box foot pedal drum, vocal and harp. The harp solo quote came from Eric Clapton's version with Jerry Portnoy on harp. I tried to add flavour to the track without being in the mix too much and come to the front when it was my turn. Let me know what you think!

I worked up a version of Schubert's Ave Maria on chromatic and recorded it on garage band. I found the score and a recording of the piano part online.  I hope you enjoy - it is a beautiful piece. Check out Tommy Morgan's recording - wonderful!

Recording volume changed....My recording of Dave Barrett's solo with some slight changes, backing tracck and vocals by Dave Barrett. My intention is to use this as the base structure and build on by adding more individual licks. Comments welcomed!
