Movement Excercises

I remember the jaw movement from Dave "the Early Years" :) when it was all about pucker playing. In these videos are you TBing? (I know your going to say "Yes") It just seems that when TBing your note it's not center and it seems for me my jaw doesn't move that corner of my mouth the same as when I pucker it. In other words, if I pucker my jaw will switch, if I TB it doesn't.

Hi David,

Any types on breathing during the GHS study song for those of us without Lance Armstrong's lungs? I feel like I'm going to pass out from oxygen intoxication.

How to practice study song

You recommend spending 1/2 hr of each practice on the study song. Does this mean that the time should be spent on the particular chorus I am working on or all that I have worked on so far?

Dumb question, but in which video do you teach the tremolo for "Walk With Me"? I missed it and now can't find it!

key to highway?

I may have dreamed this, but I thought at some point I saw a tab on the site of Key to the Highway. Is it hiding there somewhere, or should I just go back to sleep?

So Blue for You Chorus 5 question

Hi Dave
I have thoroughly enjoyed the chromatic studies which kind of surprises me but I'm absolutely having a blast with these studies. Any chance of having chromatic studies in a different position?
Any way my question is in Chorus 5 of So Blue For You in the 9th bar leading into the 10th you have notated
2 2 2+ (6+2+)
But when playing along with the 15% slow track I think I hear
2 1 2 2+ (6+2+) continue reading...

Quiet World Solo Study

Hi David,

In the head of the song on the 10th bar it sounds like you're hitting the 6+ seven times, not six times as notated. I've tried to slow it down as much as possible. Am I hearing things?

G Harmonica

Hi Dave,

I am having a real problem getting the 3 draw on the G harmonica to sound any good - bending is almost impossible. I even bought a new one thinking there was a problem with the harp itself, but obviously the problem is with me as the new one was no better. Any advice?

Pull Technique

Hi
I am having a little difficulty in understanding the mechanics of the pull technique. Using the Solo harmonica Study 1 bass lines 2.1. Is the following correct. You draw the 2 hole and then momentarily block 1 and 2 holes and then take the tongue off and with and draw the 1 and 2 holes with a definite articulation with a kind of "pa" . Presumably the draw on 3 hole is followed by similar technique but drawing 1,2 and 3 holes and also with 4 draw followed by draw on holes 1,2,3 and 4. continue reading...
