I am trying to find a way to monitor the movement of the tongue from being flat to humped up. I am doing the vowel sounds as you instructed. Is there a trick to feel the tongue more.

Thanks David.

Answer

I find it helpful to simply go in front of a mirror... close your eyes... open your mouth (so that you can see your tongue when you do open your eyes)... drop your tongue in the back... open your eyes... is your tongue really dropped? Work on it with your eyes open until you can get it dropped in the back and then try the test again. Rinse and repeat until you get success.
