These guys are great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBZUKwF5zKE. It's blues with harp and guitar, but with some zeppelin, zz top and a hint of alternative thrown in. They've got a great sound, and write good original songs too (but this one's not original of course).
If you're like most of this recent generation and like The Black Keys but have wondered what their Hill Country Style of blues would sound like with harp, check out Cuban Heels; particularly the albums Gritbag and Gutbucket. I recently found them on Spotify but you can also download their stuff on iTunes and Amazon. I think they're from the Netherlands or something. Not sure, but really been digging them. Their harp player is quite decent too.
I just discovered this band last night. Interesting fusion of blues, jazz, and gospel, with some great harp playing, of course. The album is called " And Still I Rise." Enjoy!
I attended Hill Country Harmonica 2012 and heard some wonderful blues with Mitch Kashmar, Brandon Bailey, Jimi Lee, Adam Gussaw, Deak Harp, Phill Wiggins, and more. The Gospel artist Todd Parrott left me mouth wide open. I captured some of his performance pieces in hi def. Check them out at
There are some really interesting harp videos recently posted on YouTube. Mostly solo harmonica, some with singing. Mostly old and rare ones.
There are about 15 of them as of this morning.
Go to youtube and look up DELTAKITTYCAT channel.
