I'm working on the Solo section of the "Levels of Achievement" level 1 study 1and my question is ....

with hole 1 and 2 .... Do I tongue block (with my tongue towards the right) ?
Do I pucker hole 1 and 2?
Do I put the harmonica down and cry?

Thanks

Jake

Is harmonica the hardest instrument to learn how to play well?

I started playing music learning on the recorder and the clarinet. From there I progressed to the saxophone and played it for many years. I have also tried playing other woodwind instruments. From my experience playing playing in orchestras, bands, and playing with friends I have seen how other instruments are played. My son plays violin and have experienced his learning process. When I compare all of this to my experience learning the harmonica I found the harmonica to be the hardest instrument to learn how to play well. Note you are blind and have to rely on muscle memory to find the holes. continue reading...

What a brilliant interview that was - Robert covered the entire gamut of the instrument, practice, music, technique and more - awesome. Thanks Dave.

Does anyone know if its much easier to play in minor keys on a harp already tuned that way verses a major harp in 3rd position?

Rotating lesson material

Sorry if this is an idiotic question, newbie here (new to the site, not new to the instrument). I had done a free month on the site about a year ago and remember seeing and working with an Artist Studies section. I can't find it now. Does material rotate through the site or once it's up, does it remain on the site?

Thanks for any feedback.
