I thought this is a simple song until I started tabbing it out. Man, I just can't get the same leve of dynamics that Little Walter had.

Hi

Thought I'd share this latest composition produced for LOA8. Head came from a Vocal line in a song Song performed when I saw him in brighton a couople of years ago.

I increased the reverb on this one to try and get that William Clarke sort of sound. Kind of tricky through headphone mic!

Anyway hope you enjoy it!

Having been on an extended (7 week!) camping trip, I've been missing playing/ practising properly for some time. Hence I have no new material to share but I found this recoding from when I first started playing in my current trio. It's a cover of a song Son House did (find it on youtube). It took me a while to come up with something I was happy with- I wanted to provide accompaniment without taking too much away from the vocals and lyrics. The harp part is in 1st position and only comes in during the vocal choruses and for a solo. continue reading...

It was when studying on LOA 8 that this artist study has been unlocked for me by David.

I gave it a try but had to give up after a while, cause it was really difficult for the fast licks. In that moment I thought "Man, when I'll be able to play this I will be have done a long way down with the harmonica, in terms of skills and practice".

It is a wonderful song, I thought now it was time for me to deliver it.

Enjoy.

Hi blues harmonica friends

Next month I have been married for 25 years, and of course we will celebrate.

On our marriage, 25 years ago, we have opened the dancing evening with the great blues-rock song “Long Cold Winter” of the group Cinderella (for your information here is the YT link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSgXI7euoCo )

With the opening of our dancing evening next month, I would like to bring this number on harmonica…. continue reading...
