I have been playing and performing with a Shure Green Bullet microphone. I know most people either love or hate this microphone. However it would be nice not to have worry about tripping over the cord or it getting damaged. While not on the buy list in the immediate future I am starting to investigate and review wireless bullet microphone set ups. I would eventually like to get one. I do want to maintain an old school dirty sound from the microphone. Anybody had experience with a wireless microphone or can recommend a wireless bullet microphone?

Thanks

Brian

Tlk to Greg

Hi - I got a wireless set up a couple of years ago from Greg Heumann (blows Me Away). You can use any microphone, although I found crystal elements are not strong enough to be effective. Greg is a great source of information, has the wireless set ups and is a great guy to deal with - either for learning more or buying.

Honer Hoodoo Hand Wireless Microphone

I am very intrigued by the Honer Hoodoo Hand Wireless Mic. In my local music store they had not heard of it until I mentioned it and asked for a price and availability. The salesman quickly referenced it in his Honer catalogue and wondered aloud why he had not seen it before now. Perhaps this a viable option for going wireless without a sacrifice in tonal quality. It certainly seems that acoustic effects via the hands would be captured with this type of set up but perhaps not the same sound from using a Bullet mic.

Thanks. I had heard about this mic, but I need to investigate it more. I'll check it out when I get a chance.
