David,

I figured with your knowledge of blues harp players you may be the guy to answer this for me.

One of my favorite blues men was Willie Foster from Leland Mississippi. But I've also heard of another harp player by the name of Little Willie Foster, can you tell me if this is the same person or different and anything I can listen too by Little WF.

I knew Joe would come through on this one! Thanks Joe!

"YES! They are different. LWF as I recall only recorded 4 songs in the 1950s and died the classic blues harp players death,... he was murdered. 2 were for the Cobra label and 2 were for the Blue Lake label a few years before. He was a powerful singer and solid harp player in the style of SBW1. I will never forget talking to Charlie Musselwhite and hearing him say that LWF Blue Lake cut "Falling Rain Blues" was one of his all time favorite blues songs.

Thanks!

Thanks for finding out for me I've always wondered if they were the same or different, now I know. I'll see if I can locate any LWF recordings.
