Where y'all from?
Roseville, CA about 20 minutes NE of Sacramento. I just joined this site a few weeks ago and sure am glad I did! Never played harmonica before. Play a little guitar (badly). Just enjoying learning harmonica and guitar now that I'm retired.
I'm from Latvia.
Port Clinton, Ohio, which is on the south shore of Lake Erie. I'm currently taking the free lessons after buying a Hohner C harmonica. I have a new A harmonica arriving tomorrow and I plan on sticking around after the free trial ends.

I think we need more details on "play in folsom."
Got Hohner Speacial 20 and staying around for the free lesson...but if everything are intresting planning to subscribe for the lesson
Hello. I live in an inner ring suburb outside of Detroit, Southfield MI. I joined the BluesHarmonica several years ago but never spent time with the program. I have been playing for 7 years but there is SO MUCH more for me to learn about this instrument and I plan on learning it here.
Hello everybody, I'm from Rimini, Italy, I was a student 7 years ago here at BluesHarmonica.com, then I stopped playing because I had less time to spend on it.
Now in this lockdown situation I started to study again and I'm having a lot of fun.
The Blues will save my soul.
Bye.
Danilo
Been playing a couple weeks now. Seeming to be picking up on it pretty well.
Abilene, Texas.

I started out in London, during the 90s my local pub was The Railway Tavern, home of Bob's Goodtime Blues Bar on Latimer Road in west London ... used to see Paul Lamb and Kingsnakes at least monthly and a bunch of other great Blues acts (Ask me how I got hooked on blues and harp!!). Also photographed for blues publications through 90s and 00s.
a little under a decade ago I immigrated to Richmond VA USA, and live here now, and I regularly bug Adam Gussow to bring his awesome to Richmond VA

Just getting started in the world of harmonicas.

Live in Swindon , work in Bristol , joined this site few days ago, looks great and looking forward to learning properly having had harmonicas around the house for years and picking out very basic simple tunes for fun, love the sound of the blues !
@tonyholmes, I live down the road in Williamsburg. Every two or three years, Howard Levy comes to town, and he was here in late February. The room was packed, and he said words like, "It's great to see so many people here. I worry this is something we won't be able to do in the future."
Total beginner at the harmonica. Took it up to teach myself patience and persistence really. Have always given up quickly in the past, so trying to find something to keep occupied with and to take my mind away from today's crazy world.
.. just getting started as well.
I was born and raised in Rome. Moved out in northern Italy for work and actually I live in Genoa.
Hello, Another level one here, having started playing the harmonica this summer. Have been drawn to Blues music for as long as I recall, and tried to learn sax back in college. I choose harmonica this time to not annoy my family and neighbors and because I can carry it everywhere (and do) and most of all because it is a wonderfully expressive instrument when played well. I'm amazed and a little overwhelmed by all of the instructional content for harp on the web, and appreciate the thoughtful structure, careful organization and broad scope of content on Blues Harmonica.com.
Interesting to see BluesHarmonica’s demographics – David must be proud!
If the users’ locations were easily searchable on the site, and not hidden in a forum, it could help in bringing interested students together (to share learning experiences, jam, curse about lack of progress etc.).
Not sure it’s the best timing for such thoughts though (Covid) nor if the probability of having a fellow user nearby is high enough, but why not?
Hello everybody!
I'm from Brasil, currently living in Argentina. I've been playing guitar since 1992, mostly for fun. These covid quaretine days connected me to the musical world and I decided to get back to the studies. One thing leads to another and here I am with my very first harp in C, the A is arriving tomorrow and so it goes.
I admire how organized and systematic things are around this site, which from my point of view is what one should care most on the learning process of an instrument.
Anyway, it's been a great time and hope everyone here feels the same!
Keep harping!
Gustavo
