Hello David,

Please tell me what does Little Walter do.... is it a shake ? the song is Long Distance Call and the place is at 40 seconds from the start.... I am trying to collect all of Little Walters recordings where he played acoustic Harp....I love to play acoustically and listening to LW play acoustically is just wonderful. I can see in many of his recordings the influence of John Lee Williamson... I hope you do an Artist study of John Lee Williamson (Sonny Boy Williamson-I) in the near future.

Thanks & Regards,
LearningTheHarp

Answer

One of the great blues harmonica accompaniment examples. He's paying a 4 draw with a little bit of 5 and is doing a hand tremolo. Joe Filisko will do a SBI study, it will just be a while due to his busy touring schedule.

I'm happy to share... no hurt in asking. Yes, you're right, a LOT is to be gained by the transcription process.

I think that if I learn

I think that if I learn something of SBW-I style it will help me to transcribe and learn Little Walter's. acoustic playing which is what I'm interested in at this point. Can't wait to see the lessons by Joe Filisko....
