I have A and D special 20s.  What is the order of the next keys I should buy to complete the lessons.

Also, curious about your thoughts on the Eastop 008K for playabiitity and ease of bending compared to the special 20?  Also, tone?

Also, what are your thoughts of the Hohner Rocket Amp compared to the special 20.

Thanks in advance!  -Doug

P.S.  The lessons are AWESOME so far!!!

Hello Doug. The next harps,

Hello Doug.

The next harps, in order of use, are C, G, Bb, and Low-F. I recommend you get the C and G next.

I have not tried the Eastop 008K. Some of the Rocket's can be similar in playability to the Special 20. Try one, see if you like it. You may just want to stay with Special 20's, so that you're playing the same model (it's nice to not deal with differences in feel from harmonica to harmonica). If you want a better harp, get the Hohner Crossover, it plays better than all the models you mention.

I'm glad you're enjoying your lessons.

Brand new to everything

I have my new special 20 and never played before. It is a "C". Can I still start? How, where and do I need to order an "A"?

Meaning can I or do I still start lessons ?

Welcome to the site QiGONG.

Welcome to the site QiGONG. There is an intro lesson for those with only the C Harmonica, and it's found here http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/c_harmonica_intro_lesson. After this lesson, if you decide to continue, you'll need to pick up an A Harmonica. Best wishes on your studies.

C harmonica blues...

Hi David,

I was going to ask something similar- I only have this C harmonica I was given as a gift which came with the month's free trial of the website, so I was going to use this time of lockdown to finally get round to learning... I was going to ask how much someone could learn with just the C harmonica so I guess I've got plenty of time to perfect that intro lesson!

Will check it out...

Kasper
