David!

I  was recently playing at a local blues jam and a song was played in C minor. What key harp coincides with C minor and how do you  get their?

Cordially,

Bruce Emery

Answer

Hello Bruce. Most players would use the Bb Harmonica in 3rd Position. You can find more about 3rd Position playing starting here http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/3rd_position_study_1 and playing 3rd Position minor here http://www.bluesharmonica.com/lessons/minor_playing. If you feel more comfortable in 2nd Position, then you can follow the advice I give in the minor lesson.
