Lesson 3, Bending Study 2, Exercise 1.4 refers to Dips & Falls.  What is a Fall?  I can't find a definition for it.  Is it the opposite of a Dip?

Hello harpomarks. A fall is

Hello harpomarks. A fall is where the bend is quick, and when you get to the full depth, you stop (you don't want to hang on that bend). The effect you're looking for is that at first the note sounds, and then a fall in pitch [bend] that doesn't really sound like it hits bottom... the note fades away as the bend happens.

Thanks for posting

Thanks harpomarks, for asking.  I completed level 3 and completely missed the fall in that exercise.  I was too focused on the dip.
