Can someone suggest a good way to warm up a chromatic before playing?

Thanks

A few methods

Some use an electric heating pad.

Some keep it under their arm or in a pocket that gets body warmth.

Some use those chemical heating sticks that warm up when you wrench them so that chemical inside them mix (without spilling out).

Some simply breathe into them, playing lightly so that the warmth and misture from their breath warms the metal and loosens any stickiness.

And some just play them cold (which is what I tend to do).

warm up the chromatic

HI Winslow,

Thanks for your response.  Yuu siad that you play your chromatic without warming it up.  My understanding is that if you don't warm it up you will get stuck wind savers.  Is that not correct?

I don't seem to have that problem. YMMV.
