Hi David! I have tryed to learn this classic one , with full tongue blocking ! It´s my main focus now. The worries i have is in the 3 bends in  the 1st chorus, 2nd ,4th, 6th the IV section ! I don´t get them clean ..... Do you have any good exercise or any good advice? Thanks/Micha

Hello Micha. Great song, on many levels. Practice playing 3' 3" 3+ 3+ at the quarter note level with HarpNinja or a tuner... this is the main melody of that lick. Then practice it as he plays it (3' 2 3', 3" 2 3", 3+ 2+ 3+, 3+ 2+ 3+) at the triplet note level very slowly with a metronome. If you play your downbeat notes louder (3' 3" 3+ 3+) with HarpNinja on it will still help you to dial in your pitch. Have fun with it... it's a challenging song... but your skill will grow because of it.

Hi David,

I love this song and would like trying to learn it too, so do you have a transcription I can get?

Thank you

Ralph

bluesmili, that is a tough

bluesmili, that is a tough lick. give yourself months (that's what it took me and I'm still not really satisfied with how I play it but at some point you move on and come back later and find you're better at it)

Walters Boogie!

Thanks Michael ! I know it is tough lick ! But i think i have to get the bends in tongue blocking more fuller ! I have to focus on the tongue so it is on the right spot for a bigger sound. I think there is my worries now !!  about to get the 3 ` or the 3`` i get them in pitch but not full sound on them!!! But i love the practice to get there! Have a lot of diciplin there after 25 years Martial Arts. So back to PRACTICE.... PS: I hope you understand what i mean.... Thanks again Michael !
